Job summary

Founded in 2015, Mirus Aircraft Seating Ltd is recruiting a Mechanical Project Engineer to coordinate customer order fulfilment for aircraft passenger seats at our Hingham site. You will drive on-time delivery while balancing cost, weight and regulatory requirements.

You will lead cross-functional teams and present updates to the executive team, ensuring end-to-end programme execution from design through delivery, with a focus on quality and compliance in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of project or programme management within manufacturing or engineering (min 3 years).
• Strong grasp of project planning software (MS Project).
• Understanding of how engineered products move from design to certified, manufactured and delivered hardware.
• Knowledge of weight growth drivers and design changes.
• Experience with customer and regulatory compliance.
• Aerospace cabin/seating or regulated industry background preferred.
• Hands-on quality processes in an NPI environment.
• Technical understanding of aircraft seating systems.
• 3rd level engineering qualification in an engineering subject.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and establish the framework for fulfilment of customer orders for aircraft seats.
• Manage all aspects of the programme(s): performance, cost, quality and lead-time.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet timelines and activities.
• Present regular updates to the executive team.
• Ensure smooth end-to-end programme execution from start to finish.
• Track and control programme cost drivers.
