Job summary

SSEN Transmission in Scotland seeks up to 4 Deputy Project Directors to deliver HVDC converter station packages at HUB sites, reporting to the Project Director. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, manage contracts, and contribute to net-zero objectives while ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

Travel to project sites is required and collaboration with the ASTI framework partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering large capital projects.
• Experience negotiating and executing NEC3 contracts.
• Strong knowledge of project governance and controls.
• Engineering or commercial qualification or accreditation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver £350m+ HVDC converter package under ASTI.
• Support HVDC portfolio acceleration and Ofgem submissions.
• Lead safety and quality performance on site.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and supply chain.
• Direct Project and Construction Managers on schedule, contracts and risk.
• Refine project structures and resources for HUB site.
