Job summary

SSEN Transmission in Scotland seeks up to 4 Deputy Project Directors to lead HVDC Converter Building packages and contribute to the Pathway to 2030 programme. The role reports to a Project Director, managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex supplier relationships to enable UK energy transition.

You will drive safety, governance and project controls across on-site and travel to project locations, with a focus on delivering value while aligning with Ofgem submissions and regulatory

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering large capital projects.
• Experience with NEC3 contracts in multi-contract delivery.
• Knowledge of project management systems, governance, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a £350m+ HVDC Converter Building Package under an NEC3 ASTI framework.
• Support HVDC portfolio acceleration and Ofgem regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with Transmission Management to uphold safety, environment and quality standards; lead site-based safety.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable delivery of wider objectives.
• Lead a team of Project and Construction Managers across schedule, contract and commercial management, risk, governance, and interfaces.
• Assist the Project Director in HUB site delivery and Ofgem submissions development.
