Job summary

Olympus Recruitment is partnering with a thriving nursery in Yate to recruit a Nursery Senior Deputy Manager for a brand-new site opening nearby. The role offers a salary of £33,000 per annum and the chance to work closely with the Nursery Manager to drive the service forward.

You’ll lead and mentor the team, step into the Acting Manager role when required, ensure high standards of care, learning and safeguarding, and support EYFS and Ofsted requirements as the new setting grows.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in a leadership role within a nursery setting.
• Strong confidence supporting and developing nursery staff.
• Good understanding of EYFS framework, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the setting.
• Lead, motivate and support the nursery team.
• Step into the Acting Manager role when required.
• Mentor and supervise practitioners, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Assist with staff rotas, training requirements and performance reviews.
• Help maintain consistently high standards of care, learning and safeguarding.
• Support the nursery in meeting EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Support the nursery team through the transition into the new setting.

This is an exciting time to join a thriving nursery as it prepares to open a brand-new site nearby. The move will provide the team and children with fantastic new facilities and a larger, purpose-designed space in which to learn, play and grow.

Our client is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Nursery Senior Deputy Manager to work closely with the Nursery Manager and help lead a passionate Early Years team. You don't necessarily need to be an established Deputy Manager - a strong Room Leader with leadership experience and the ambition to progress would be warmly welcomed.
