Catering in Yate is recruiting a Nursery Senior Deputy Manager to help run a thriving early years setting. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to lead a passionate team and oversee day-to-day operations in a brand-new, larger environment.

The role suits a strong Room Leader or Deputy Manager with leadership ambitions, offering opportunities for progression, professional development, and a collaborative leadership structure. Salary £31,000–£33,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years, or higher.
• Experience leading and developing nursery staff.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Solid understanding of EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
• Excellent people skills and a hands-on leadership style.
• Passion for early years and children's development.
• Ability to support and transition into a new setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the setting.
• Lead, motivate and support the nursery team.
• Step into the Acting Manager role when required.
• Mentor and supervise practitioners, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Assist with staff rotas, training requirements and performance reviews.
• Help maintain high standards of care, learning and safeguarding.
• Support the nursery in meeting EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Support the transition into the new setting.

Our client is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Nursery Senior Deputy Manager to work closely with the Nursery Manager and help lead a passionate Early Years team. You dont necessarily need to be an established Deputy Manager – a strong Room Leader with leadership experience and the ambition to progress would be warmly welcomed.
