Job summary

Flow Sports Personnel Ltd is seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to join a caring nursery team in the Nottingham area. You will help lead a room, support EYFS delivery, and build strong partnerships with families to ensure outstanding outcomes for children.

You will oversee planning, record-keeping, and staff development, while maintaining safeguarding standards and liaising with local authorities. The role offers a warm, supportive environment and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a room or team within a nursery setting.
• Solid understanding of EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
• First Aid certification is desirable and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of EYFS across the setting.
• Oversee planning and maintain accurate records.
• Promote partnerships with parents and carers.
• Develop relationships with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Stay updated with childcare and education policy updates.
• Assist with nursery accounts and meetings preparation.

Qualifications

• childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3
• previous experience managing a room or team within a nursery setting
• formally a management qualification is desirable but not essential
• current First Aid qualification
• sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures
