Placements24 is seeking a Senior Delivery Operations Manager to lead Randburg, Gauteng delivery networks, optimize fleets, and drive operational excellence for a leading national e-commerce and logistics provider.

The role demands strong leadership, deep KPI knowledge, and a track record of managing large teams and complex logistics. You will mentor supervisors and collaborate with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to elevate service levels.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• At least 7 years in delivery operations management; minimum 3 in a senior leadership role.
• Experience managing large-scale logistics operations and diverse teams.
• Knowledge of South African transportation laws and best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• Experience with modern logistics technology and fleet management systems.
• Valid driver's license (Code 10/C1 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery operations in Randburg, including fleet management and route optimization.
• Develop strategic plans to raise efficiency, cut costs, and boost customer satisfaction.
• Manage and mentor operations supervisors and a large driver workforce.
• Set and monitor KPIs to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and legal requirements.
• Coordinate with third-party providers and vendors as needed.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve workflows.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams for seamless ops.
