Placements24 invites applications for an Operations Manager to lead our client's Randburg distribution centre. You will manage receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control while driving safety and efficiency in a high-volume environment.

You will lead warehouse supervisors and staff, set performance targets, implement process improvements, and leverage WMS technology to optimise flows and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in distribution center or warehouse operations management.
• Proven experience in managing large teams in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day operations of the distribution centre.
• Manage and lead a team of warehouse supervisors and associates, fostering a culture of performance and safety.
• Ensure efficient and accurate receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize stock discrepancies.
• Develop and execute operational plans to meet delivery schedules and customer demands.
