Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee a Randburg distribution hub and lead receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping teams.

You will drive inventory accuracy, cycle counts, safety compliance, and continuous improvement while collaborating with the management team to optimize productivity and costs. This on-site role requires strong leadership, warehouse systems knowledge, and flexibility to meet daily targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
• Ability to lead, motivate and manage teams effectively.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and WMS.
• Knowledge of health and safety best practices.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible hours and adaptability to demands.
• Proficiency in warehouse software and basic computer applications.
• Physically capable of warehouse duties.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willing to relocate to Randburg area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of warehouse staff, including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping teams.
• Ensure efficient operation of all warehouse processes to meet daily targets.
• Monitor inventory levels and accuracy through regular cycle counts and system checks.
• Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Allocate resources, including staff and equipment, to optimize productivity.
• Train and develop warehouse personnel with feedback.
• Address operational issues and employee concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of the warehouse.
• Collaborate with Warehouse Management on improvements and cost savings.
• Prepare shift reports detailing productivity and inventory status.
