Howden is a global reinsurance and insurance partner, hiring a Senior Delegated Authority Technician to support post-placement processing, premium, claims and bordereau activities across onshore and offshore teams.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, compliance with Lloyd’s and regulator standards, and collaboration with broking, technical, claims and finance teams to enable growth while maintaining controls.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within delegated authority, binder, MGA or insurance operations.
• Strong understanding of premium and claims bordereau processing.
• Experience with offshore or outsourced operational services.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Support post-placement processing across Bowood & Programs.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of premium, claims and bordereau transactions.
• Drive service delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor workloads and allocate resources to meet demand.
• Manage operational risks and escalation points.
• Support offshore processing resources growth.
• Ensure workflow between onshore and offshore teams.
• Monitor quality, productivity and service in outsourced functions.
• Support standardisation of processing activities across the business.
• Assist implementation of new systems and strategic tech initiatives.
• Develop relationships with brokers, technical teams, claims and finance.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership.
• Support strategic business initiatives and projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, Lloyd’s, carrier and internal governance.
