Job summary

Stantec in the UK is hiring a DCO Planner at Senior, Principal or Associate level to join its Major Infrastructure/DCO team. Based from any UK office, you will help consent, assess and deliver some of the country’s most ambitious projects across water, energy and transport.

You will lead planning and consenting workstreams, provide EIA strategy, work with clients and multidisciplinary teams, mentor colleagues and help grow the team in a collaborative, inclusive environment with a hybrid working

Qualifications

• Experience delivering planning and consenting for major infrastructure projects.
• Professional accreditation such as MRTPI or working towards MRTPI/APM/CMI/CEnv/CEng is desirable.
• Strong communication with clients and stakeholders; focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating planning and consenting workstreams for major infrastructure projects, including NSIPs under the Planning Act 2008.
• Providing planning and EIA strategy advice and managing processes across consenting regimes (DCO, TCPA, DNS).
• Advancing schemes through development, advising on methodologies and assessments.
• Collaborating with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to shape deliverable programmes.
• Bringing structure to complex projects, spotting risks early and maintaining momentum.
• Mentoring colleagues and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
