Job summary

Stantec is seeking a DCO Planner Senior, Principal or Associate to join the Infrastructure team. This role can be based from any UK office and involves leading planning and consent workstreams for major infrastructure projects across the UK.

You will work with clients and multidisciplinary teams to shape deliverable programmes, provide EIA strategy, and drive projects through consent regimes. A professional qualification and accreditation in planning or related fields are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering planning and consenting for major infrastructure.
• Strong technical understanding of DCO and related regimes.
• Professional accreditation or working towards MRTPI/APM/CMI/CEnv/CEng.
• Credibility with clients and stakeholders; solution-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate planning and consenting workstreams for major infra projects.
• Provide planning and EIA strategy across DCO, TCPA and DNS regimes.
• Guide scheme development and assessments, advising on methodologies.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Spot risks early, maintain momentum, and deliver quality outcomes.
• Mentor colleagues and support a collaborative team culture.
