Job summary

Stantec is hiring a DCO Planner Senior/Principal/Associate to join our Infrastructure team in the UK. You will lead planning and consenting for major infrastructure projects, shaping schemes and coordinating across multidisciplinary teams.

With experience in DCO and EIA strategies, you will partner with clients and stakeholders, mentor colleagues, and help deliver complex programmes that support the UK’s future infrastructure needs. Hybrid working is available across UK offices.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering planning and consenting for major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of Development Consent Orders (DCO).
• Qualification in Planning or Environment with commitment to quality.
• Credibility with clients and stakeholders, with practical problem solving.
• Accreditation such as MRTPI or equivalent welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and consenting workstreams for major infra projects including NSIPs.
• Provide planning and EIA strategy guidance and manage processes across regimes.
• Advance schemes through development and assessment stages.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Identify risks early, maintain momentum and deliver quality outcomes.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to a collaborative culture.
