Job summary

Circle Recruitment is seeking a Senior Data Engineer near Dudley to join a growing data team. You will own the data lake, drive Microsoft Fabric adoption and build scalable data pipelines from APIs, files and internal systems.

You will work with Finance and Commercial teams to understand data needs and deliver robust BI-ready datasets, dashboards and models. The role offers hybrid working with one in-office day weekly.

Qualifications

• This is a highly technical Senior Data Engineer role requiring MS Fabric and Azure data platforms.
• Experience building data pipelines, data lakes and data warehousing is essential.
• Ability to integrate APIs and complex source systems is required.
• Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer capability is expected.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the data lake and data platform.
• Develop integrations between internal and external systems.
• Build and optimise data models, schemas and warehouse structures.
• Collaborate with BI to deliver scalable reporting.
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT processes.
• Support AI-enabled tech adoption and automation improvements.
• Work with Finance/Commercial teams to translate data needs into solutions.
