the company Ltd in Reading, UK, is seeking a Senior Consultant (Data Engineer) for hybrid work. You will lead data, analytics and AI engagements using Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, SQL and Power BI, combining hands-on delivery with platform architecture, governance and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience delivering Data & AI, analytics or data platform projects using Microsoft and/or Azure Databricks technologies.
• 5 to 8 years' experience in a client-facing consultancy or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lakehouse, Data Warehousing, data modelling and modern analytics architectures.
• Experience building data pipelines, integration solutions and cloud-based data platforms.
• Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex Data, Analytics, AI and platform modernization projects using Microsoft technologies.
• Facilitate client workshops, discovery sessions and technical engagements.
• Design scalable, secure and well-governed data platform architectures.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project delivery, ensuring solutions meet quality and business outcomes.
• Support pre-sales engagements, solution architecture, estimates and proposals.
• Mentor consultants and promote engineering excellence across teams.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and client-facing deliverables.
