Job summary

Devonshire Hayes is seeking a senior Data Centre Sales Manager to drive growth in the critical infrastructure market. You will lead consultative sales, develop new opportunities and expand strategic accounts with data centre owners, operators and project stakeholders.

You will articulate technically credible and commercially competitive building controls and infrastructure solutions, produce compelling cost analyses and navigate multi-year service contracts.

Qualifications

• Proven sales or business development experience within data centres or critical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of building management systems (BMS), building controls or smart buildings.
• Experience managing complex, solution-led sales cycles.
• Confident engaging with senior technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Able to translate customer requirements into compelling technical and commercial proposals.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
• Commercially astute, organised and able to manage multiple opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop data centre sales opportunities from initial engagement through to contract award.
• Build long-term relationships with data centre owners, operators, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Manage and expand key customer accounts while generating new business.
• Understand clients’ operational, environmental and commercial objectives.
• Develop technically credible and commercially competitive building controls and infrastructure solutions.
• Produce accurate estimates, proposals, presentations and cost-benefit analyses.
• Lead commercial negotiations, overcome objections and close profitable business.
• Promote service, retrofit and upgrade solutions across existing data centre facilities.
• Identify opportunities for multi-year service and maintenance agreements.
• Work closely with design, estimating, engineering and project delivery teams.
• Maintain a strong pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts and reporting.
