Arup is seeking a Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer specialized in data centre projects in Greater London. You will lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge mechanical solutions, developing detailed design models and simulations for HVAC systems tailored to data centres.

The role offers opportunities to take broader leadership responsibilities and to guide multi-disciplinary teams across varying project scales.

Qualifikationen

• Chartered Engineer in Building Services (CIBSE/IMechE) or within 6–12 months of achieving it.
• Significant experience in Mechanical Engineering within a consulting environment.
• Experience across data centre design and construction stages, incl. cooling, PUE/WUE, resilience/TIER levels, and testing/commissioning.
• Proficiency in energy modelling tools and relevant design software.
• Experience leading the development and implementation of Mechanical Engineering solutions.

Aufgaben

• Lead design and modelling efforts for mechanical and HVAC systems in data centre projects using advanced modelling techniques.
• Spearhead the design of complex mechanical systems tailored for data centres, ensuring optimal cooling performance.
• Drive development of innovative mechanical designs for HVAC systems using cutting-edge technologies.
• Proactively manage project activities to align with strategic and commercial objectives and mentor junior team members.
• Represent the team in internal and client meetings, providing expert insights and recommendations.
