My client in London is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing internal design team delivering building services from concept through construction support.

You will work on commercial and data centre projects, supported by experienced professionals, with a focus on energy-efficient, technically excellent designs and career progression within a collaborative environment.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Building Services Design.
• Degree or equivalent in Building Services Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services systems.
• Experience in a building services consultancy environment.
• Proficiency with Revit, BIM and standard design software.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Aufgaben

• Liaise with clients to develop relationships and support trusted advisor role.
• Assist in evaluating new works and fee submissions.
• Provide technical support through Stage 5 drawings and submittal reviews.
• Develop mechanical calculations and design solutions from briefing to detailed design.
• Monitor construction to ensure compliance and high-quality standards.
• Lead testing and commissioning activities (ISTs, Black Building Tests).
• Perform technical appraisals of existing buildings to inform strategies like EPC, capacity reviews, and SPOF analysis.
