Job summary

Safran in Gloucester seeks a Senior Data Analyst specialising in Advanced Analytics to drive performance across its Actuation business. This hands-on role interrogates complex datasets, builds predictive models and develops executive dashboards to support decisions at senior levels.

You will validate data quality, create scalable analytics, and collaborate with Project Planning, Controls and Digital teams to move from retrospective reporting to predictive performance management, enabling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience analysing complex business data in manufacturing, aerospace or regulated industries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience developing executive dashboards and performance reporting.
• Advanced experience using Power BI, SQL and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience interpreting complex data and communicating insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong data visualization and business performance measurement understanding.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modelling and machine learning techniques.
• Experience with enterprise planning systems (MS Project Server/Planner) and data governance.
• Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Experience using analytical programming languages.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical models that support executive and operational decision-making.
• Validate enterprise data and identify trends, anomalies and performance risks.
• Design and maintain executive dashboards, KPIs and performance reporting.
• Develop predictive analytics for programme delivery, resource planning and portfolio management.
• Perform scenario analysis and business modelling to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
• Collaborate with business functions to translate requirements into solutions.
• Support data quality improvement by identifying inconsistencies and gaps.
• Work with data governance to ensure trusted information.
• Support AI-enabled decision-support capabilities by preparing models and data sets.
• Promote a data-driven culture through coaching and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and replace manual analysis with scalable solutions.
• Measure business outcomes and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
