Job summary

Sopra Steria is seeking an enthusiastic Data Scientist/Analytics professional to centralise data, develop dashboards and predictive analytics for senior leaders. You will work with Python, SQL and Power BI in a hybrid Newport-based role, collaborating with a team to transform data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders and clients.

You will design forecasting solutions and improve data quality, leveraging modern cloud-based analytics platforms while supporting a data-led culture

Qualifications

• Experience analysing and presenting complex data to support business decisions.
• Strong SQL skills and large dataset handling.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation and modelling.
• Experience developing dashboards and visualisations in Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance reporting, dashboards and analytical products for senior leaders and customers.
• Centralise, cleanse, validate and model data from multiple systems in data lake environments.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, automated solutions and analytical tools using Python, SQL and Power BI.
• Design and deliver forecasting, planning and predictive analytics to support decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, automate reporting and enhance analytics capabilities.
