Job summary

CMR is recruiting a Senior Cost Manager to drive cost control across a major UK transport infrastructure programme, based in London with hybrid working. You will lead cost capability, deliver forecasts, and oversee reporting processes with NEC/FIDIC contract familiarity.

The role demands deep cost management expertise on complex projects, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to deliver value while maintaining commercial rigour in a high-profile environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction, Accounting or related discipline.
• Proven track record in cost management within a major project environment.
• Chartered or equivalent professional status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost control practices across the Civil Works Programme.
• Coach and guide Cost Disciples members and collaborate with other Project Controls disciplines.
• Maintain accurate cost forecasts and actuals in the financial system and oversee monthly reporting.
• Review estimates from Tier 1 contractors and ensure changes are reflected in budgets and forecasts.
• Identify cost risks and opportunities, supporting the development of cost reporting systems.
