Job summary

Randstad CPE London is recruiting an experienced Cost Manager for a major UK rail infrastructure project in Birmingham. You will work within a dedicated cost management team, focusing on project controls, forecasting, baseline management and cost analysis across large-scale contracts.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, advanced Excel skills, and experience with PRISM or Contruent. Hybrid work arrangement: office in Birmingham with options for remote work.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Cost Manager, Cost Controller, Cost Engineer, or Project Controls role.
• Experience on major infrastructure or construction programmes.
• Strong forecasting, baseline management and cost analysis abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using cost management systems such as PRISM or Contruent.
• Understanding of change control and trend management.
• Experience within rail, highways, nuclear, water, or similar infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

• Support management of project baselines and challenge contractor forecasts.
• Oversee change control and trend analysis for cost performance.
• Analyze cost performance across delivery programmes.
• Contribute to forecasting, baseline management and project controls within large-scale contracts.
