Job summary

CMR is seeking a Cost Engineer to join a dynamic, award-winning team on a major UK infrastructure programme. The role focuses on cost control, forecasting, reporting and project controls within a fast-moving delivery environment.

You’ll support cost performance, maintain cost data, track spend, analyse variances and provide clear reporting to inform decisions. DV/SC clearance is preferred, with hybrid Reading-based work.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost engineering or project controls.
• Ability to clearly communicate cost and performance information.
• Strong attention to detail and cost data analysis.
• Experience supporting cost reporting, forecasting, budgeting or variance analysis.
• Solid understanding of project controls and cost management principles.

Responsibilities

• Support cost control, forecasting and reporting across a major infrastructure programme.
• Collate, analyse and report cost information per project controls processes.
• Produce cost reports, dashboards, accruals, forecasts and variance analyses.
• Collaborate with project controls, commercial and delivery teams to monitor cost performance.
• Review cost data and challenge information to ensure accurate updates.
