Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors / Senior Cost Managers to join our Birmingham team, delivering high-impact UK infrastructure programmes across airports, utilities and transport.

You will lead commercial management, manage contracts and procurement under NEC, engage with clients and contractors, and drive cost control from pre- to post-contract while supporting growth toward chartership.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified with chartered status (MRICS) or actively working towards it.
• Proven expertise in quantity surveying, procurement, and/or estimating on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and infrastructure cost management.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management activities across the project lifecycle.
• Manage contracts and procurement processes, especially within NEC frameworks.
• Oversee post-contract activities: payment approvals, change management, and cost control.
• Engage directly with clients and contractors to ensure transparency and collaboration.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and drive commercial performance.
• Provide data-led insights to support informed, strategic decision-making.
• Prepare estimates from early-stage forecasts to detailed cost plans.
