Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager to join our team. You will work on major UK infrastructure projects, including airports, utilities and transport, with NEC contract experience preferred.

You will manage early-stage estimates through post-contract cost management, lead procurement and cost reporting, and drive value for clients while pursuing chartered status and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Degree-qualified and working towards (or holding) chartered status.
• Familiarity with NEC contracts and cost management best practices.
• Proactive problem-solving and strong collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial contracts, procurement, and negotiations in an NEC environment.
• Work on estimates from early-stage projections to detailed cost breakdowns.
• Lead post-contract commercial activities including payment approvals and cost changes.
• Support contractors with transparent, data-driven cost management.
• Identify cost-saving strategies and optimise contract performance.
• Provide data-driven cost insights to support key decisions.
