Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Controller to join the Midland & North Infrastructure-Defence team. You will tailor cost control approaches, lead accruals and develop CBS, aligning budgets with WBS while collaborating with Finance, Commercial and Project Managers.

The role involves producing cost reports and advising on performance management. The successful candidate will have demonstrable cost control experience, familiarity with EVM, forecasting and NEC contracts, and strong Excel

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in cost control essential.
• Familiarity with earned value management techniques.
• Experience with forecasting and cost reporting.
• Proficient in MS Excel and related applications.
• Understanding of NEC contracts desirable.

Responsibilities

• Tailor cost control approaches to client needs and align with best practice.
• Promote the benefits and requirements of cost control within project teams.
• Implement and maintain cost control systems to track budgets and forecasts.
• Develop CBS and align budgets with WBS to monitor costs.
• Integrate cost estimates with WBS to budget correctly.
• Collaborate with Finance, Commercial and PMs to align information.
• Lead accrual production to reflect Actual Cost of Work Performed.
• Provide cost reporting tools and regular reports including earned value.
• Advise on status reports and support performance management decisions.
• Train clients and junior team members on cost control processes.
