Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Contract Manager within the Procurement & Commercial team to support Network Operations in Scotland. You will manage pre- and post-contract procurement and commercial activities for a £600-£700m portfolio, with project values up to £70-80m, and help secure value for money for consumers.

The role suits a Quantity Surveying professional with client or contractor side experience; NEC knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• 5+ years post-graduate experience.
• Experience estimating, sourcing management, cost & budget management, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contract T&Cs for high-value Network Operations projects and manage delivery phase.
• Support handover of assets and ensure robust service contracts for HVDC Converter, HVDC Cables, FACTS, and GIS.
• Shape strategies for future Network Operations requirements and identify opportunities in P&C for Network Operations.
• Negotiate prices and ensure they are substantiated to provide value for money to consumers.
• Demonstrate stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence, lead and resolve disputes.
