Job summary

SSE Transmission seeks a Junior Contract Manager to join the Procurement and Commercial team. You will support contract term negotiations, price validation and post‑contract commercial management for HVDC projects, working with stakeholders across the delivery chain.

The role requires a Quantity Surveying background, professional membership preferred, and experience with NEC/FIDIC forms is advantageous. Base location is Scotland with a 50% office attendance commitment in Glasgow or Perth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, with professional membership in a recognised body.
• Experience in estimating, cost & budget management and contract administration.
• Knowledge of NEC or FIDIC forms advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support P&C Manager in negotiating contract terms and managing delivery phase.
• Negotiate prices and ensure value for money for consumers.
• Demonstrable stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills.
• Contribute to cost reporting, forecasting and change management procedures.
• Provide post-contract commercial management to support project goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and SSEN standards.
