Job summary

Gleeson Homes is seeking a Contracts Manager to provide leadership for multi-site construction teams across developments. You will drive performance, safety, quality and customer experience while managing budgets, forecasts and programmes.

The role requires strong commercial awareness, NHBC/NHQC knowledge, and exceptional people leadership. You will report to senior directors and collaborate with the commercial team to meet build targets.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification or broad construction experience.
• Proven multi-site project management and QA effectiveness.
• Excellent commercial awareness and technical knowledge.
• In-depth knowledge of NHBC standards affecting build.
• Strong people and team management skills.
• Understanding of NHQC and NHBC Code.
• Commitment to high quality homes and 5 star customer experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Organised and detail-oriented leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management oversight to construction teams to deliver targets and milestones.
• Ensure safe, professional delivery including budgets, forecasts, build quality, customer experience and brand standards.
• Lead Site Managers and Site Teams, reporting to Regional Managing Director and Construction Director.
• Create and lead a high-performance, customer-focused construction culture delivering 5 Star Inhouse surveys.
• Formulate build strategies, critical path programs, procurement and subcontractor solutions with the Construction Director.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Corporate Responsibility policies across sites.
• Audit site performance, KPIs, and take action to meet standards and 0 reportable items.
• Coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors to deliver drawings/specifications to programme and budget.
• Take ownership of development performance and engage in regular planning meetings with subcontractors.
• Build relationships with subcontractors to support the Construction Director and Commercial department.
