Job summary

Ringway is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead a Surrey Major Projects portfolio of complex highways and infrastructure schemes. You will oversee multiple live projects, guiding project teams and partners to deliver on time, within budget and to the highest safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes leadership across mobilisation to completion, strong NEC contract knowledge, and robust client relationships to drive performance and value for the Surrey network.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Contracts Manager within highways, infrastructure or civil engineering.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and project delivery.
• Experience managing multiple projects and operational teams.
• Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management skills.
• Strong commercial and programme management capability.
• Knowledge of health, safety and CDM requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of major highways and infrastructure projects.
• Manage Project Managers, Site Managers and operational delivery teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contract requirements.
• Monitor programme performance, budgets, risks and project outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
• Work closely with commercial teams to manage costs, change control and profitability.
• Drive high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Support project planning, mobilisation and resource management activities.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Ensure successful project handover and completion.
