Job summary

Ringway is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Surrey Major Projects team to deliver a portfolio of complex highways and infrastructure schemes. You will lead live projects from mobilisation to completion, directing project managers and delivery teams while ensuring safety, programme, and profitability.

The role focuses on NEC contract delivery, stakeholder management and continuous improvement across the Surrey network.

Job description

Ringway is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Surrey Major Projects team to deliver a portfolio of complex highways and infrastructure schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven operational leader to take ownership of multiple projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in managing project teams, supply chain partners and client relationships, helping to successfully deliver major improvements across the Surrey network.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will oversee the delivery of several live projects, providing leadership and direction to operational teams from mobilisation through to completion. Working closely with project managers, commercial teams and stakeholders, you will ensure projects are effectively planned, resourced and executed while maintaining a strong focus on safety, performance and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Lead the successful delivery of major highways and infrastructure projects.
• Manage Project Managers, Site Managers and operational delivery teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contract requirements.
• Monitor programme performance, budgets, risks and project outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
• Work closely with commercial teams to manage costs, change control and profitability.
• Drive high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Support project planning, mobilisation and resource management activities.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Ensure successful project handover and completion.

Person Specification

You will have significant experience managing highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects and a proven track record of leading teams to deliver successful outcomes. Strong commercial awareness, client management skills and experience working within NEC contracts are essential.

Essential Requirements

• Experience as a Contracts Manager within highways, infrastructure or civil engineering.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and project delivery.
• Experience managing multiple projects and operational teams.
• Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management skills.
• Strong commercial and programme management capability.
• Knowledge of health, safety and CDM requirements.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time - 40 - Monday to Friday
