Job summary

PPM Recruitment is seeking a Contracts Manager specializing in flat roofing to oversee high-value contracts across the North West. You will lead site teams, coordinate activities with Tier 1 contractors and end users, and ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to safety standards.

The role requires proven roofing management experience, strong H&S knowledge, and the ability to read technical drawings and specifications. A UK driving licence and SMSTS/CSCS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Contracts Manager or site manager in roofing/construction.
• Experience managing £100k–£2m roofing projects.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and site management procedures.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive, commercially aware and solution-focused.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and site teams.
• Full UK driving licence.
• SMSTS and CSCS.
• Experience working with Tier 1 main contractors and/or end users (beneficial).

Responsibilities

• Work with Directors to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
• Manage day-to-day delivery of flat roofing contracts.
• Oversee Health & Safety across live projects and ensure compliance.
• Assist mobilisation and setup of new sites.
• Ensure activities follow RAMS, drawings and specifications.
• Carry out quality inspections and ensure manufacturer requirements.
• Attend meetings with Tier 1 contractors and clients.
• Manage site operatives and subcontractors; monitor progress and productivity.
• Prepare weekly site reports and project documentation.
• Coordinate materials and equipment deliveries to site.
• Maintain communication between site teams, clients and management.
• Identify and resolve site issues promptly.
