Job summary

Salford Roofing Contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial roofing projects across the Northwest. You will balance site and office work, ensuring contracts run smoothly with autonomy and strong support from a family-run team.

SMSTS and CSCS are essential, with 5+ years in contract management. You will lead projects from planning through completion, maintaining safety and quality standards and excellent client relations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a Contracts Manager within construction or roofing, ideally with commercial flat and pitched roofing experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage multiple contracts and teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple roofing contracts from inception to handover.
• Be the main point of contact for clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Track contract progress, budgets and programme, reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure work meets health and safety regulations and company quality standards.
• Identify and resolve issues to keep contracts on time and budget.
• Provide site-based oversight with office planning and coordination.

Our client is a growing, family-run roofing contractor based in Salford, delivering commercial flat and pitched roofing projects across the Northwest. They're proud of their reputation for quality and the way they look after their people, and they're looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to help them continue that growth.

About the Role

You’ll manage a portfolio of commercial roofing contracts (flat and pitched) from initial planning through to completion, splitting your time between the Salford office and project sites across the region. This role comes with genuine autonomy, you’ll be trusted to run your contracts your way, backed by a supportive and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple roofing contracts simultaneously, from inception to handover
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication throughout
• Track contract progress, budgets, and programme, reporting regularly to senior stakeholders
• Ensure all work meets health and safety regulations and company quality standards
• Identify and resolve issues quickly to keep contracts on time and on budget
• Provide site-based oversight alongside office-based planning and coordination

About You

• 5+ years’ experience as a Contracts Manager within construction or roofing, ideally with commercial flat and pitched roofing experience
• SMSTS and CSCS essential
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts and teams at once
• Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients, suppliers, and site teams
• Solid understanding of roofing systems, materials, and construction processes
• Full UK driving licence
