Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is recruiting for a Project Manager / Site Manager - Flat Roofing to lead flat roofing projects across the North West. The role requires managing from tender to completion, plus ensuring safety and reporting at each stage.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in site or project management within flat roofing, experience with new build and refurbishment systems, and hold a valid CSCS card and SMSTS. A full UK driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have proven track record in Site or Project management in the flat roofing market sector.
• Ideally experienced in both new build (single ply & hot melt) and refurbishment flat roofing systems.
• Must have CSCS card & SMSTS.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the project from tender through to completion.
• Write health and safety documents for each site.
• Monitor site activity, organise workers, collate risk assessments and conduct safety checks.
• Liaise with quantity surveyors and commercial managers to keep works on track and cost plans.
• Provide reports for the project and attend pre-contract and progress meetings.

The role of the Project Manager / Site Manager - Flat Roofing

• Project Manager / Site Manager position promoting a high quality range of flat roofing services; cold applied liquid, built up felt, hot melt, green roofs, solar, and single ply
• Managing all aspects of the project from tender all the way through to the completion
• Writing up health and safety documents for each individual site
• Monitoring all site activity; organising all site workers, collating risk assessments and carrying out health and safety checks
• Liaising with quantity surveyors and commercial managers ensuring all works are moving smoothly that project deadlines are adhered to, whilst maintaining project cost plans
• Liaising with clients and providing reports for the project
• Attending pre-contract meetings and progress meetings with clients
• Maintaining good working knowledge of current contracts, acts, and legislation
• Overseeing a single contract at any given moment.
• Predominantly working on commercial projects such as: local authorities, NHS, schools

The ideal applicant will be a Project Manager / Site Manager - Flat Roofing with:

• Must have a proven track record in Site or Project management in the flat roofing market sector
• Ideally experienced in both new build (single ply & hot melt) and refurbishment flat roofing systems
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal across all levels
• Full UK driving license
• Must work well as a team and "fit the culture"
• Must have CSCS card & SMSTS
• Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
• Confident and articulate
• Ability to plan and organise deliverables
• High self confidence
