Senior Contracts Manager - Roofing

Location: West London Salary: Circa £70,000 + Package (DOE) Start Date: ASAP

The Company

Our client is an established and growing specialist roofing contractor delivering technically challenging flat roofing projects across London and the South East.

Working across commercial and high-end residential sectors, they have built an excellent reputation for quality, technical expertise and long-term client relationships. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to play a key role within the business.

The Role

This is a senior-level appointment for an experienced roofing professional with a strong technical and operational background in flat roofing systems, particularly reinforced bitumen membrane (RBM).

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple flat roofing projects from pre-start through to completion.
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and site resources.
• Liaise directly with clients, main contractors, consultants, architects and manufacturers.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical details prior to installation.
• Identify technical and buildability challenges and provide practical solutions.
• Ensure installations comply with manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements.
• Coordinate with manufacturer technical representatives and site inspectors where required.
• Monitor project programmes and proactively manage risks, delays and site issues.
• Maintain exceptional standards of quality, health & safety and site management.
• Attend and lead pre-start, progress and client meetings.
• Manage project variations and support the commercial performance of contracts.
• Oversee project completion, snagging and handover.

About You

We are looking for a proven Contracts Manager with extensive experience within the flat roofing sector.

Essential Experience

• Significant experience managing flat roofing projects.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced bitumen membrane (RBM) roofing systems.
• Experience delivering commercial roofing projects.
• Ability to manage multiple live sites simultaneously.
• Strong technical understanding of flat roofing construction and detailing.
• Excellent knowledge of warm roofs, inverted roofs and green roof systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong programme and resource management skills.Commercial awareness and experience managing contract variations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working with leading manufacturer-approved systems, particularly Bauder.
• Knowledge of single-ply, hot melt and liquid-applied waterproofing systems.
• Experience with green roofing and integrated solar/PV installations.
• Previous experience within a specialist roofing contractor environment.
