Job summary

PPM Recruitment seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to lead flat roofing projects across the North West. You will oversee mobilisations, site setup, safety compliance, and delivery on time and to budget, while coordinating with Tier 1 contractors and end users.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within roofing/construction.
• Strong practical experience within flat roofing.
• Experience managing roofing projects valued from GBP100k up to GBP2m.
• Experience working with Tier 1 main contractors and/or major end users.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and site management procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with company Directors to ensure project objectives and deliverables are achieved.
• Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of flat roofing contracts.
• Oversee Health and Safety across live projects and ensure compliance with company procedures and legislation.
• Assist with the mobilisation and setup of new sites.
• Ensure all site activities are completed in accordance with approved RAMS, drawings and specifications.
• Carry out regular quality control inspections, ensuring works comply with manufacturer requirements and project specifications.
• Attend and represent the company at meetings with Tier 1 contractors, clients and end users.
• Manage and supervise site operatives and subcontractors.
• Monitor productivity, workmanship and progress against programme.
• Complete accurate weekly site reports, surveys and project documentation.
• Coordinate the timely delivery of materials and equipment to site.
• Maintain clear communication between site teams, clients, main contractors and company management.
• Identify and resolve site issues promptly and proactively.
• Monitor material usage and carry out stock checks where required.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and client satisfaction throughout each project.

Contracts Manager : Flat Roofing

Location: Manchester / North West : Site and Office Based

Salary: GBP50,000 : GBP60,000 per annum + Company Car

The Role

PPM Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join an established roofing contractor operating across the North West.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced roofing professional to take responsibility for the successful delivery of flat roofing contracts ranging from GBP100k to GBP2m.

The Company Works Closely With Tier 1 Main Contractors And Major End Users, Delivering Roofing Packages Across a Variety Of Sectors Including

• Healthcare
• Schools and education
• Universities
• Offices and commercial buildings
• Supermarkets and retail
• Public:sector buildings

Working closely with the company Directors, you will take ownership of projects from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Candidate Requirements

The Successful Candidate Will Ideally Have

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Site Manager or similar within roofing/construction.
• Strong practical experience within flat roofing.
• Experience managing roofing projects valued from GBP100k up to GBP2m.
• Experience working with Tier 1 main contractors and/or major end users.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and site management procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive, commercially aware and solution:focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and site teams effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.
• SMSTS and CSCS.

The Opportunity

This is a hands:on Contracts Manager position for someone who wants to take genuine ownership of high:value flat roofing projects up to GBP2m, working directly with company Directors and leading main contractors.
