The role blends remote work with occasional client-site engagements, requiring strong collaboration with researchers and delivery teams.

You will drive content strategy, maintain style guidelines, and mentor junior designers while championing inclusive design and accessibility across digital services.

Qualifications

• Evidence-based content design that meets GDS/GOV.UK standards
• Experience as a content designer in an agile environment
• Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to advocate for accessible digital content and inclusive practices

Responsibilities

• Plan, write and manage usable, accessible content in line with GDS and GOV.UK guidelines
• Produce accurate, timely content that is easy to understand and SEO-friendly
• Manage stakeholders and communicate content decisions effectively
• Use analytics to identify journey improvements and problem-solve design issues
• Champion user-centred design practices for digital products and services
• Mentor and coach junior content designers and contribute to the Content Design Community
