Job summary

Methods is seeking a permanent senior content designer to help users understand complex information across public sector digital services. You will write, edit and govern content to meet GOV.UK standards and ensure accessibility.

You will work in an agile environment, manage stakeholders, mentor junior designers and contribute to recruitment and planning. The role is remote with occasional UK travel.

Qualifications

• Producing content that is user-centred and evidence-based, aligned with GOV.UK standards.
• Experience delivering end-to-end journeys and identifying where improvements are needed.
• Ability to work in an agile multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, write and manage usable content following GOV.UK Content Design guidelines.
• Create accurate, timely, and SEO-friendly content that meets style guidelines.
• Manage stakeholders and explain content decisions clearly.
• Apply analytical thinking to solve design problems and challenge assumptions.
• Promote user-centred design practices and accessible products.
• Mentor and develop junior content designers.
• Support lead content designer with team planning and recruitment.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive team environment.
