Job summary

Methods is seeking a Senior Content Designer to join the Capabilities and IT Digital Advisory practice in Manchester. The role is remote-first with UK travel, supporting the lead content designer and contributing to the Content Design Community of Practice.

You will plan, write and manage content per GOV.UK standards, ensure accessibility, and collaborate with researchers and multidisciplinary teams. The post offers flexible working and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience of evidence-based content design that meets GOV.UK standards.
• Experience working in an agile environment with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven stakeholder management: negotiating, influencing, removing blockers.
• Strategic thinking: help lead content strategies and evaluate impact.
• Collaboration with user researchers to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, write and manage usable, accessible content in line with GOV.UK guidelines.
• Produce accurate, timely content that is relevant, easy to understand and SEO-friendly.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and explain content decisions clearly.
• Contribute to Content Design Community of Practice and mentor others.
• Support lead content designer with training, planning, recruitment and marketing activities.
