Job summary

Tilbury Douglas in London seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to own major construction project delivery from inception to completion. You will lead project teams, manage clients and stakeholders, and drive excellence in safety, quality, and programme.

You will balance commercial and technical demands, navigate NEC contracts, and foster a culture of continuous improvement while reporting to the Contracts Manager. This role is site-based with significant leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering major construction projects as a Senior Project Manager in a main contractor setting.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent planning, financial and contractual awareness; balance quality, programme, cost and client expectations.
• Direct defence sector experience or transferable governance and assurance capabilities would be advantageous.
• Experience administering NEC contracts, with disciplined programme and change control.

Responsibilities

• Lead successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, programme, cost and contractual requirements.
• Implement company policies on Health & Safety, Sustainability, Quality, Environmental Management and the Integrated Management System.
• Identify risks and issues; develop mitigation strategies and review methods to maximise performance.
• Collaborate with planning, design management, commercial and document control teams for best outcomes.
• Lead, mentor and develop project teams through performance management and coaching.
