Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our South Wales team, taking full ownership of delivery on education, defence and healthcare projects.

You will lead on-site teams, drive programme and cost control, and build strong client relationships while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role requires a proven track record as the number one on site and experience with NEC contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects as the lead on site on £10m+ schemes.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness to manage cost/value.
• Deep technical construction knowledge and an understanding of project delivery risks.
• Experience working with NEC contracts.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for successful delivery of the project, including programme, commercial performance, quality and risk management.
• Lead and develop the project team, setting direction and fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout delivery and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Ensure high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance across all site activities.
• Drive programme and cost control, identifying risks and opportunities to maximise project performance.
