Job summary

STRABAG in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to drive commercial strategy across Project(s) in Manchester. You will oversee valuations, cost reporting, and procurement, ensuring governance and alignment with contract requirements.

The role requires a degree-led background with professional accreditation paths such as RICS/ICES and strong knowledge of contract forms. You will mentor junior staff and lead change events, aiming at value engineering and cash optimization.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card held and current validation.
• Degree, A Levels & HNC in construction related fields.
• RICS / ICES membership in progress toward Chartership.
• Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract and measurement practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance on commercial issues across projects.
• Develop a culture of commercial awareness within the team.
• Ensure site team follows group procedures and governance.
• Manage junior staff performance and development.
• Prepare valuations, payments, and cost reports with full documentation.
• Administer subcontracts, procurement schedules, and subcontractor payments.
• Maintain cost to complete and risk registers for projects.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and change.
• Support change events, final accounts, and time claims.
• Draft complex subcontract arrangements and engagement terms.
