Job summary

STRABAG UK is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Build Division in Hertfordshire, delivering a diverse portfolio of construction projects. This senior role requires you to lead commercial activity on projects, work closely with project teams, clients and supply chain partners.

You will manage pre-construction through final account, drive value engineering, risk management and cost control, and ensure compliance with contract procedures, reporting, and approvals

Qualifications

• Requires registration with RICS/ICES and working towards Chartership.
• Degree qualified or HNC equivalent required.
• Commercial acumen with knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract and Standard Methods of Measurement.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).
• Experience with Design and Build contracting.
• Strong presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial delivery on projects from pre-construction through final account.
• Provide strategic commercial leadership and manage risk and cost control.
• Drive value, quality and efficiency in collaboration with project teams, clients and supply chain.
• Maintain governance, reporting, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
