Job summary

Saab UK, part of a leading defence and security group, is seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer for its Fareham Seaeye unit. You will ensure regulatory compliance of underwater robotics products, maintain technical files, and coordinate with internal teams and external labs to plan and execute tests.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and solid knowledge of EMC, safety standards, and environmental testing. Travel may be occasional as part of compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is essential.
• Knowledge of EN 61010 and EN 60204 LVD safety standards.
• Experience with EMC standards and CE/FCC requirements.
• Understanding environmental testing under CE LVD safety standards.
• Familiarity with mechanical principles in components/assemblies.
• Experience with electronic systems, PCBs and wiring.
• Self-starter who can prioritise and deliver standard work.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain compliance of products to regulatory standards (CE, UL, FCC).
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations.
• Monitor new regulations and assess impact on products.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external labs to plan tests.
• Analyze test results and update compliance plans for design teams.
• Report compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Produce technical compliance assessments for end-user requirements.
• Contribute to design reviews and product releases for standards readiness.
• Support engineering change processes to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Drive continual process improvements and share best practices.
• Occasional international travel to support objectives.
