Job summary

Saab UK, part of Saab Group, is seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer for the Fareham Seaeye unit. You will ensure that products meet national and international standards (CE, UL, FCC) and industry guidelines, maintain technical files, and support design teams to achieve compliant solutions.

You'll liaise with internal teams, laboratories and notified bodies, monitor regulatory changes, and contribute to test plans. Occasional travel is expected as part of safeguarding product accreditation.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Working knowledge EN 61010 and EN 60204 LVD safety standards.
• Working knowledge of EMC standards and CE/FCC directives.
• Experience with environmental testing and CE LVD requirements.
• Understanding of mechanical principles in components/assemblies.
• Knowledge of PCBs, wiring and electronic assemblies.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently or in a team.
• Confident with interacting with 3rd party labs and senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain compliance of products to national and international standards.
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations.
• Monitor and report on new regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external laboratories to plan tests.
• Analyse test results and update verification/test plans.
• Report compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Contribute to design reviews and product releases for compliance.
• Support engineering change processes to sustain compliance.
• Travel nationally and occasionally internationally as needed.
• Pursue continuous improvement of department processes.
