Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer for the Fareham area, embedded in the Saab Seaeye underwater robotics unit. You will ensure product compliance with CE, UL, FCC and related standards, coordinate with laboratories and internal teams, and guide test plans and certification processes.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical safety, EMC, environmental testing and mechanical principles, with the ability to work independently and with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Experience with EN 61010 and EN 60204 safety standards.
• Knowledge of EMC standards and CE/FCC directives.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products comply with applicable national and international standards (CE, UL, FCC).
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations.
• Monitor new regulations and their impact on products.
• Coordinate with development, production, laboratories and notified bodies for test activities.
• Analyse test results and update compliance plans for design teams.
• Report product compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Develop compliance assessments in response to end-user requirements.
• Contribute to design reviews and product releases for standards accreditation.
