Job summary

Saab UK, part of Scandinavia's defence group, is seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Engineer for its Fareham Seaeye unit. The role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance for underwater robotics products, creating technical files, and coordinating with internal teams and external labs to achieve certification.

The candidate will monitor regulatory changes, perform assessments, and contribute to design reviews to ensure new products meet accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Working knowledge EN 61010 and EN 60204 LVD safety standards.
• Working knowledge of EMC standards and directives for CE / FCC.
• Working knowledge of environmental testing associated with CE LVD.
• Understanding of mechanical principles of components/assemblies.
• Working knowledge of electronic systems/components and PCB/Wiring.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain compliance of products to CE, UL, FCC, and industry standards.
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations.
• Monitor and report new regulations and standards impacts.
• Plan, coordinate and execute test accreditation activities with internal and external labs.
• Analyze test results to guide design teams toward compliant solutions.
• Report compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Contribute to design reviews and release of new products for standards accreditation.
• Travel domestically and occasionally internationally to support objectives.
