Job summary

Saab UK, part of Saab Seaeye, is seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Engineer for Fareham. The role focuses on ensuring product compliance to national and international standards across the underwater robotics portfolio.

You will liaise with development, production and test labs to plan, coordinate and execute accreditation activities. The successful candidate will monitor regulatory changes, create technical files, and support design reviews to ensure new products meet accreditation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is essential.
• Knowledge of EN 61010 and EN 60204 LVD safety standards.
• Working knowledge of EMC standards and CE/FCC directives.
• Experience with environmental testing per CE requirements.
• Understanding of mechanical principles in manufactured components/assemblies.
• Experience with electronic systems, PCBs, wiring.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain product compliance to CE, UL, FCC and industry standards (DNV, Norsok, IMCA, LR).
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations for compliance.
• Monitor new/regulatory standards and assess impact on products.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external labs for test accreditation.
• Analyse test results to update compliance verification and test plans; guide design teams.
• Report product compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Prepare technical compliance assessments for end-user contracts.
• Support design reviews and product releases to ensure standards accreditation.
• Participate in engineering change processes to maintain compliance.
• Travel nationally and occasionally internationally to support objectives.
• Continually improve department processes and share knowledge.
