Job summary

Saab UK is seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer to join our Fareham-based underwater robotics team. You will ensure products comply with national and international standards, create technical files, and liaise with internal and external partners to drive test accreditation.

Responsibilities include monitoring regulatory updates, developing compliance plans, and supporting product design changes to maintain certifications. Travel may be required to support objectives.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• Working knowledge EN 61010 and EN 60204 LVD safety standards.
• Working knowledge of EMC standards and directives for CE / FCC.
• Working knowledge of environmental testing associated with CE LVD safety standards.
• Understanding of mechanical principles associated with manufactured components / assemblies.
• Working knowledge of electronic systems / assemblies in relation to component recognition, PCB's, Wiring.
• Self-starter able to prioritise workload and deliver standard work.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain compliance of products to regulatory standards (CE, UL, FCC).
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations.
• Monitor and report changes in regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external labs to plan tests.
• Analyze test results and guide design teams to compliant solutions.
• Report compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Contribute to design review and product releases for standards accreditation.
• Participate in engineering change process to maintain compliance.
