Job summary

Starling Bank is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to join our 2LoD. You will provide expert regulatory compliance advice, challenge 1LoD operations, and help ensure customer outcomes are protected across all activities.

You will build strong relationships with the 1LoD, drive enterprise-level compliance frameworks, and oversee regulatory submissions including SMF applications. Strong knowledge of UK financial regulation is essential.

Qualifications

• Deep working knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to financial services (BCOBs, CONC, LSB, PSD2, SYSC, MCOBs).
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to identify conduct and compliance risks and provide robust oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory compliance and conduct advice to 1LoD/business teams.
• Develop and implement conduct risk and compliance frameworks and policies.
• Approve financial promotions and marketing material across all products and services.
• Oversee SMF applications to Regulators and keep the Management Responsibilities Map up to date.
